Ramekins in Sonoma and Nicole Kollock of SavoryPear
Me & my good buddy Dave O. are off to pasta making class this week at Ramekins cooking school (www.ramekins.com) in the wine country! Stay tuned for a report…
Laura and I previously took an Indian cooking class focused on non-traditional Indian dishes, and a Risotto class that included a FABULOUS crab risotto that I’ve since adapted and will post soon in my recipe pages.
It turns out that the instructor of the risotto class is a local chef, Nicole Kollock, who also runs a catering business called SavoryPear (www.savorypear.com). I had occasion to ask Nicole to cater a party at our house recently for my company, MicroDisplay. The results were fantastic!
This was a full service gig, with an outdoors poolside setting for 45-50 people. Nicole arranged every detail of the party, including furniture, umbrellas, plates & silverware, setup and tear down and of course, all of the food and drinks. The food was terrific, designed around a southwest theme, with drinks to match. This is literally the first time we’ve had a catered party at our house where there was NOTHING for me to do other than join the party and have a good time!
