I’m getting back in the proverbial saddle of food blogging, in case you’ve missed me! For the past six months I’ve been splitting my time between working at a venture capital firm here in silicon valley, and learning to write web software in a bunch of different languages. Recently, I transitioned jobs again to became CEO of a company developing an advanced type of solar cell. The bad news is that now I’m even busier than before. But the silver lining is that I’ve been forced to hire a professional to finish the programming on the website, leaving ME time to write about the wonderful world of food instead of writing lines of code!
Craziness … but I’m back!
Over the next few months the recipe section of the website will allow you to create your own recipe box and enter your own recipes. By the end of the year, I hope to have a complete “menu creation” system online. My vision is to build a system that can pull recipes from the database and generate a shopping list, consolidated ingredient preparation instructions, and step by step directions to create a multiple course meal! After four years of cooking for six people after a long day at work, I have a pretty clear idea of what’s needed to prepare a four course meal in less than hour. We’ll see if I can automate that a bit …!
So stay tuned, and I’ll try not to co-mingle too much “alternate energy” ranting in my food blog. As many of you know, when I get excited about something, I sometimes can’t help myself!
